Portland Autumn Equinox Guide 2018
The official day of Autumn Equinox in Portland is September 22, following closely is the full Harvest Moon on September 24th, making the days surrounding the equinox full of renewal and changing energy.
This is a time of balance and reflection when the light is perfectly poised between day and night, each one exactly equal. I like to spend this time reflecting inward on the growth I’ve had throughout the past year and letting go of what no longer serves me. Meaning, lots of art, meditation, journaling and soaking in the last bits of sunshine the PNW has to offer.
If you’re looking for ways to channel your energy, connect with the changing season or just tune into Mother Earth, here’s a little list of local events and ideas.
September 21: Celebrate the Equinox with dance and movement.
September 22: Outdoor kundalini and silent meditation.
